Youth Strength Training
References
This reference list
will be periodically updated
with new information as it is published.
A compelling body of evidence indicates
that strength training can be a safe, effective and worthwhile method of
conditioning for children and teenagers. Despite outdated concerns regarding the
appropriateness of strength training for boys and girls, the following research
articles, chapters and books provide evidence and reassurance that youth
strength training can be an enjoyable, beneficial and healthy experience for
children and teenagers.
